Up, Down, Up, Down, Up

I guess this cycle just doesn't end...  Mike and I were both up this week but honestly, I don't think were were getting enough calories for the amount we were working out last week...  This week we're going to try journaling in Sparkpeople again...  Basically we both start it tomorrow.
 
I think we set our calories goals too low for our daily intake.  When I heard Jillian tell Kelly she needed to be intaking around 1600 calories was when it hit me.  My goal is (or should I say WAS) taking in 1300 - `400 calories... 
 
So I'm uppping it and see how we do...
 
You know this losing weight stuff is definately a learning experiance!!!!!

Another Week down

Well that certainly was an interesting week!!!  Both my hubby and I did great and it showed on the scale!!!!
 
We really buckled down and didn't go out to eat tha tmuch this week which is really our downfall.  With me working 2 jobs and Mikie putting in so many hours at the warehouse - sometimes it's just easier to pick something up.  But this week - if we did that, then it was Subway that we picked up! :)
 
We also we pretty consistant with our workouts too.  I'm going to try and update this weekly with what I did during the week for my workouts.  It's just a matter of remembering to write it all down lol...  I'm really really hoping I can drop 2 more pounds by Thursday to hit my month goal of 10 pounds...  that would be soooo great!!!!
 
So here's to another week!!!

Grrrrr...

Hey - Mike here... 
 
Well basically I feel like crap.  I'm not really good with this blogging stuff - but I'm trying.   I'm aggravated because instead of losing this week - I gained 2.6 pounds.  Lori and I ate well this week and for the first time since my surgery (Hernia surgery on November 6th) I was back to the gym.  I had done walking and other things around the house but like I said - this was the first time back in the gym.  Don't get me wrong - it felt good to be back - but I was just expecting the scale to move in the other direction. 
 
I know the important thing is to go by how you feel - and I feel good.  But it just sucks to see that number go up.

Ugh!

This is going to be a really quick blog here...  I am so so very exhausted today...  Both my hubby and I really worked our butts off (hopefully literally) this week and today I'm just really feeling it!  We've got ourweigh in tomorrow so I guess we'll see if it paid off!!!

Blog Daily Journal

You know…  It’s kind of ironic that many of the women of BL didn’t lose much weight on last weeks episode…  I was right there with Mallory and gained *sigh* 1.8 pounds this week (I weigh in on Monday mornings).  I was seriously upset, I’m over it now and know I just need to really watch it this week and make sure I have a decent loss for next week, but I still can’t understand where I went wrong…  

 Here’s my food today…  In my food journal I tend to start off with some lyrics of a song that coincides with how I’m feeling that day :)

Lunch - 370 calories; 27g protein

*Light workout on lunch today - 8 stories up/down of stairs, brief kickboxing cardio routine, walked 10 laps around the floor (thinking about a mile) I forgot HRM so I’m not sure how much this burned*

Lean Cuisine Chicken Fettuccini (first time I had this one. The sauce was REALLY good -didn't care too much for the actual chicken though)

What a week...

Well today is Saturday.  Overall I'd say the week went well - but I'd be lying if I said I was looking forward to weighing in on Monday.  I just don't feel like I've lost anything, whereas last week I couldn't wait to weigh in.  It's so hard not to step on that scale every morning though.  I really hate that I'm so preoccupied with what that darn number is...  Argh...
 
We did well with dinners this week which I'm happy about.  Even thought one night I got home pretty late and didn't feel like cooking - we had Subway.  So that's something right there.  Mike has started journaling his food too which is AWESOME!!!  I never thought that he would take to it, but he has...  I'm thinking about adding my journal on to here so you guys can keep me accountable - so we shall see!
 
Tomorrow we'll hit the gym.  Lately we've just been doing a lot of cardio here at home, so it'll be nice to get back into the gym and lift a little...

Here it is in a nut shell

Hello all
 
My name is Mike. I am 29 years old, 6 feet tall and weigh in at 334lbs. I started my road to a healthier life in January 2007 when I hit my all time high of 367lbs. My workout was brought to a hault when I got a hernia and had to go through surgery. Well now it is time to get back on track and get my butt into gear.
 
My #1 goal is to improve my health and live a long life with my wife. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in April 2005 and have to use a C-Pap to ensure that I keep breathing while sleeping. Being overweight runs in my family and I am tired of that being an excuse and want to change that.
 
The worst part about dieting for me is going out for lunch everyday and not making the most healthy choices when selecting my meal.
 
My goal weight is 200lbs. and I will not rest until I am there.
 
 

So this is it...

Hello to everyone out there...  My name is Lori.  I'm 26 years old, married for 2 years to my best friend and can't wait to start a family.  Before I do that though - I need to drop some pounds...  alot of them...
 
I started my weightloss journey on January 8th 2007 almost a year ago today...  Since then I have lost 54 pounds.  I feel beter than I have in years - but I know that I still have a ways to go to be where I want to be.  Right now I weigh 280 pounds and my goal is to be 150 or at least right around there...  I've lost the weight simply through diet and excercise.  I worked with a trainer for a few months however money is a little tighter now and I had to drop that - though I really did learn A LOT!
 
This blog is going to take some time - but I hope to use it as both a food journal, thought journal, and fitness journal.
 
There are so many women (and men) out there that I know have similar feelings that I have everyday - so I really hope this helps someone through a rough patch.  Knowing you're not alone is the biggest battle to overcome!!!
 
My husband will be journaling as well...  so - I guess this is it - New Year - New Life Open-mouthed
